It looks like an anorexic version of a nice car, like comparing a pit-bull to an ugly chihuahua.

i'm a fan. and i'm sure styling is going to look great, i doubt they would have it looking like that.

i think a lot of people would be down for an M car that went back to the roots of the first M3... lightweight!!!!!

i need to see the final car... that looks just like a 135i with an out of place rear flare.

it also better go back to quad tip exhaust! my $.02

I'd be down for it too, but this car doesn't appear to be it, or should I say it appears to be but isn't

mgremillion09 04-15-2010 01:15 PM

I am not liking the rear of the car...

bansheeman 04-15-2010 06:44 PM

I'm thinking that BMW should not even call this an M1 since it'll never be as great as the orginal M1.

tuan_xi 04-15-2010 08:05 PM

apparently its suppose to have +10 more hp then the base 135i.......thats not ///M like...

stahl_grau 04-15-2010 10:32 PM

Definitely a 135is, not an M1

I <3 the new 1 series. I hope the M1 is a killer.

SDKmann 04-16-2010 06:53 PM

Damn, that is one mean looking test mule. Im really excited for the M version of the 1, its going to be a great car. That will definitely be my entry to the M line.

Transporter99 04-16-2010 11:53 PM

I actually would like a Dual-tip center exhaust like the old 80's 5 series. 2 massive 90mm, rolled edge tips. :) I know it won't happen, and it's no longer feasible with car dimensions. But, would be nice.

Otherwise I agree, quad tails. Dual split like the 335i looks naked for some reason. And dual tip/single muffler....no.

SDKmann 04-17-2010 02:00 AM

I think the quad tips would look too cluttered on the back of the 1. The only kind of split exhaust that would look good in my opinion would be dual singles like on the 335i. But a single dual tip muffler with large tips would look fine too.

any idea on price?? high 40s would be killer but i feel like its gunna land high 50s low 60s replacinig the old M3. Which is gay we want 30s so i can afford one.

e36 3 series and e36 M3.

My question is will it perform like it should.
