Service Engine Light. help?

Service Engine light is on in my '03 330i. Can anyone in the Charlotte or Concord area help me out with codes? I dont have a lick of sense with electronics but I can do the mechanic work once I know what to fix.

Take it to Autozone and have the codes checked then go home and research the codes. You could also go to a Indy shop in your area if you have one. I personally have a scan tool and have carried it with me in the car for the past two weeks since I'm trying to find a problem to a few codes that are consistant coming up.

Search for "Peake Tools", if you at all serious about DIY you won't regret it. Makes checking codes a 5 second process.

Hi -

Thanks for the mention here!

For most BMW owners, one of our products is the best option for handling engine warning lights. Our tools are BMW-Specific, not using the generic OBDII protocol the "free" tool loans at auto parts stores do. Generic codes can lead to wasted time and money chasing down vague problems.

Beginning with factory codes obtained using a tool like ours, you have the best information to start with.

Please check out the article "Peake Tool Crash Course", and the list of authorized dealers who support this forum, both linked in my signature.

Best of luck!
