Now I need some rubber.

I believe I've secured some stock m3 18" rims and now I want to know the widest tire I can fit on them. A friend of mine has some v710s that he's put 255 on a 8" rim and 275 on a 9" rim. If I were to do the same with these wheels, would they fit under the fenders without rubbing? I have stock suspension.

I'm looking at Kumho V710s or some Hoosier A6 or R6.

I'm running 245 f / 275 r StarSpecs on stock 18's, running at 13.5" front and ~13" rear ride heights w/ camber all the way out on the vorshlag plates without any problems. StarSpecs are wide for a street tire, but when you start talking about track rubber, you're usually talking more width than an identically "sized" street tire. You might talk to Fair at vorshlag. I know they've done ALOT of testing running wide rubber for Auto-x, but I don't know what rim widths/offsets they've been running.

You'll be perfectly fine - those tires will fit snuggly on those wheels. Just an FYI, a popular track tire size for M3s is 275 square - so you definitely won't have any clearance issues.

David:

Give Eric Frisby at Frisby Tire (www.FrisbyRaceTire.com) a shout for the tires. He'll help you.
