I took mine out too..

and added a 12" Diamond Audio sub.

Now I'm getting rattles from the area right above the rear seats. Is there a fix?

In a perfect world, you would take off the rear deck and Dynamat the whole top layer of the trunk "roof", i.e., the layer of metal under the rear deck. But, it's a rear pain in the ass to get the rear deck off, so you could Dynamat it from the inside of the trunk instead.

Also, when you took out the stock mids and/or subs, make sure you haven't left any screws in there and have taped up the stock harness plugs that might still be there.

bimmerman11 search for the post i did about the HK rattle on coupes. do the bolt method. It totally fixes the problem.

SpeedinBlue- I read your DIY instructions but...

I am mentally challenged with DIY's like this. Can you explain the entire process again, but this time, talk to me like I'm in kindergarten!

What's the exact name of the bolt you installed?
