IIRC, there was a thread here or on bf.c for the e46 version of those. They didn't look very good, imho.

Those lights are ugly.

I'm a big fan of those tail lights. I don't think they would look very good on the e46 though.

My thoughts exactly, not to mention that there are enough *** cars out there that look similar to the e46, first time I saw those tail lights on the road at night, I thought to myself, *** car....I even pointed it out to my passengers, got up closer....red face

I personally like it. I had it on my 02 530i and it looks really cool at night. For an E46 3 series however, I prefer LED as it looks out of place on our lights. E9X.. it looks great IMO

In my opinion, they aren't period correct for our cars. They are only starting to emerge the last couple of years. They just look to modern for our e46s.

I hate the lights. But they're just edge-emitting fiber. Nothing that hasn't been around forever.

The new BMW's look like Pontiacs.
