Bought Conti DW's
After an absolute **** ton of research I chose some Continental DW's to buy off Tirerack. There are a lot of great choices for even the mediocre price range but these seem to like the F22A's of tire (little Honda love for us DD grease monkeys). I spent so much time going over everything from reviews to technical insights, price to looks; that I thought I's share my findings. They will be on the car, 225/45/R17, on Friday and I am going to do a due to my upcoming calendar I am going to do a short review on the tire regularly over the next 6 months. I am having an alignment done next week and just had the brakes replaced less than 3 months ago plus being combined with an otherwise unmodified car I believe this will be a very accurate review of the overall performance of this tire; dry, wet, DD, track :excited:, road trip, etc. with respect to a factory setup for a facelift coupe.

Please stay tuned and let me know if I end up being any help. :hi:

I have the same tires. They're okay, but nothing spectacular. They're very quiet on the highway, which is nice, and they're great in the rain. However, the tall tread blocks give a lot of tread squirm, and they have pretty soft sidewalls. The car feels pretty mushy with them on, but thats okay, they're just my street tires for driving to work :)

Got the tires this morning and had them put on. Drove back on the 55, typical southern California highway, and my initial reaction is a 10/10. The tire looks much beefier than my previous Conti sports and I am liking it. Road chatter is non existent so far. Since I haven't broke them in I won't be going to the hilt on them for a bit but I did take a few corners/ bends at speed after getting off the 55 and so far I am impressed. Holds a very predictable line with, dare I say, surgical feedback from the road. The only insignificant gripe I have is the minuscule amounts of wander/ wabble driving straight at a set speed. Other than that this feels like it's going to be a long and happy friendship.
