New M3 Oil Cooler from HorsepowerFreaks - For FI and NA Fanatics
10 Attachment(s)
This is a plug and play oil cooler that simply bolts right in and replaces the factory oil cooler. The factory oil cooler lines simply connect to the new oil cooler so there is no need for additional fittings or steel braided lines. This oil cooler also has brackets that are designed to work for NA, supercharged, and even provides mounting locations for the HPF FMIC to connect right up to it for the HPF turbo guys. The oil coooler has ducting built in to bring cool air up from below and to redirect heated air flowing across the radiator around the oil cooler and not through it. This oil cooler design also retains the factory fan shroud, A/C fan, A/C lines and radiator location and configuration. Installation is a snap and the average at home do it yourselfer can install this. any numbers on temperture drop? looks pretty but more importantly is how much cooler will this keep our oil?
|
i dont think its about keeping your oil cool, rather about keeping it at the right operating temperature without overheating when your car is pushed on the track.
|
I freak out when op temp goes over 210 on hot days...looks nice but I agree I am interested in knowing real world results. At the very least it will give you peace of mind knowing you have the extra protection...but at a good price $$$
Since it is so much larger is there a chance of oil starvation?!!! |
yeah i agree the result is the most important thing !!
