No drop after Eibach's w/Koni's on 325xi?
3 Attachment(s)
I've just installed Eibach's and front Koni's on my 2003 325xi (rears on backorder).
I'm looking at the car and it seems to be about the same height. Here are before and after pics. Before: |

And after the installation:
I don't see much difference. What could be wrong? |
I'm not sure how the Koni's would effect the height as I'm still on stock shocks, but when I lowered with Eibach's I ended up getting a small drop. It will drop a little bit more after it settles, but your car will still have some wheel gap.

Your before and after shots look just like mine did after I installed my dinan suspension. I can see a drop now, and it'll take 10-15 days for the suspension to settle to its final ride height. Don't worry about it. Looks great, grats!

and you have to figure in that your stock springs were sagging anyway, after 7 years of abuse they wouldn't be at the original height..

Usually you don't see much with Eibach springs. I ran these 14 years ago in one of my Honda's and never ran them again. Over the years I ran the following suspensions on my cars:
KW Variant 3s Aragosta Top Secret Spoon Tein Zeal H&R Bilstein I have to say the best setup was the KWs. Zeals were pretty good too. |
i have the same set up, wait a couple of days for it to settle

I have the same set up as the OP - Koni Sports and Eibach ProKit. I swapped out the 15mm upper rear spring pad and put in the 5 mm pads:

Haven't messed with the front Koni adjustment yet. I just think my height is a bit up there, I'll see in a couple of weeks how it settles. Post pics as soon as you can. |
I have Eibach spring and stock sport shock. I have about half inch wheel gap in the front. GL.

give it a couple days to settle, but if you wanted to go a little lower should've gone with the h&r setup...
heres mine with h&r sports, with the spring pads with 18" wheels http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4092/...a7bd5b9ebe.jpg |

The xi rides a lot higher. I can see with the H&R setup it's higher than the non xi's with H&R's that I've seen. I went with the Eibach's because of the NYC/Jersey streets. Anyone run H&R with the Koni's? |
