Bluetooth and IPOD help??
Okay, so ive been doing a lil research on intergrating my ipod and getting bluetooth for my e46 m3 (2003) and i was wondering if the BMW dealers have ipod integration kits (as ive heard they do) but do they have anything for bluetooth? I want to get it from the dealer if possible instead of getting DICE or dynavin. Thanks

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
for the love of christmas pudding! :tsk: Go to the Audio Section of the Forum and follow the visual instruction shown here: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...ch_it_noob.gif |
It's going to cost you way more money than getting an aftermarket headunit that's going to sound better and work better.
Normally I'd say search, you damn noobie. But since I'm in a good mood tonight....here, I just bought this headunit, you should do the same: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...H-P8200BT.html |
That actually looks good!
Do you have pictures of it installed kpeng? http://images.sonicelectronix.com/im...mvhp8200bt.jpg |

Dynavin - a huge thread is always near the top of the Audio section. It looks OEM
http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/images/e46dynavin1.jpg and covers all the E46 upgrades for decent value. |
I don't understand why people love the Dynavin so much. Form over function I guess...
|
Okay Delmarco- Trust me ive searched for about 4-5 hrs on bimmerfest, google, e46fanatics, and there is nothing about the dealer installing bluetooth(to ther e46 bimmers that dont have it), so if u find a thread post it...
kepeng- i would never buy that because i want to keep my car looking OEM... but ill look into it (nd it looks cheap). xi ter- when i said at the top in my tread " I want to get it from the dealer if possible instead of getting DICE or dynavin. " i meant i dont want dynavin................. i dunno if thats really hard to understand. I was simply juss asking a question. A VERY SIMPLE QUESTION. does the BMW dealer have ani bluetooth kits or anything like that... but u guys must not be able to read correctly. and now my question here is still un ansered... lmbo wow |
Great attitude.
|
^:werd: E46Fanatics aren't a group that drives into the dealership service bay and says help me with my radio problem.
|
The mediabridge from dice electronics does Bluetooth and iPod for a decent price
|
xi ter- okay but i have done some research like ive said nd ive read mutiple problems about dynavin nd dice. im thinking about getting kpengs one juss b/c of its price and function. but id rather not b/c i dont like the look of it. If i went to the dealer they insure you the quality, and the oem look... for a higher price of course. But i guess you can juss go and follow the crowd and think your cool b/c you dont go to the dealer where you bought your car...

I'm sorry, but I can't read your horrendous grammar any more. Please learn how to write.

I have both of what you ask for but I installed them myself. I believe you want to look at bimmernav.com for the bluetooth and perhaps the dealer for the ipod.

OP, forgive some of the manners on this forum. There is a bmw ipod interface and there is a factory bluetooth option. The problem is the cost and if you want it installed by BMW, then the cost gets real ugly.
Delmarco is a HUGE help with bluetooth information if you are looking to go to the parrot system. His DIY is extremely helpful. It is found easily with a search. I decided to go with the parrot system and I am waiting for the parts to arrive. I just removed my factory ipod interface because I went with the Blitzsafe XM radio setup. There is no clear best setup. From what I hear, the factory bluetooth quality is nothing to brag about, but the cost is insane. From having the ipod interface, I can tell you the install is nice and clean. I may end up selling mine soon, but it sounds like you want new and installed by the dealer. For the bluetooth, look up Delmarco's DIY and consider the connect2/parrot ck3000 duo. |
Sna77/Franz- Thank you
clydesdale- Yes i want it from the dealer, i can install it myself, and i read bad reviews about it. But i dunno ive never tried it in person... thanks though |
Why is everybody so damn sensitive. Glad his question was answered.
