Advice on modifications

Hey, i just bought a 2001 330ci today with 91k miles.
I was wondering lighting wise, what you guys think looks really nice.
I have xenon lights, i am little confused what are HID's? Do i need to convert to HIDs or are xenon and hid the same.
I would like the blue look on the lights, do i replace the lights?
i am just a newbie... any info would be great thanks...

also, where can i find a illuminated shift knob thats 5 speed with a blue light not amber..

thanks...

pm if you feel like it

Definitely get yourself a set of angel eyes. Do a search on the forums to narrow down which ones are best to get. This is one lighting modd you will not regret. Also look into LED license plate lights. Makes the car stand out at night. Good luck

Xenons and HIDs are the same thing, they are two names for the same type of headlight.

Your factory xenon headlights are a 4300k color temperature which is a white with a hint of yellow. Many upgrade to a 6000k or 8000k replacement bulb to change the color to a xenon white. This is a good match for LED angel eyes which are a 6000k xenon white in most cases.
