Finally lowered the XI

Just dropped the XI on HR sports. Looks great and wow what a difference on response. Not to much stiffer.
One thing that will get changed is that 5/8" rubber pad in the rear. Ill make new ones out of 1/4"
Here are some before and after pix http://184.72.239.143/mu/4b356b4e-681a-fb50.jpghttp://184.72.239.143/mu/4b356b4e-684a-7e7e.jpg

looks good! Those are the rims my car came with. I actually miss them sometimes

mystic325xi 01-23-2011 09:11 PM

looks good!! Im on the same setup, I really like the way it sits in the rear after it settles a bit. I wish the front was just a tad lower tho....

Ivanhoe 01-24-2011 03:29 PM

TX , looks nice . How many inches in the front and in the back ?

Glissco27 01-24-2011 05:54 PM

good stuff man hoping to get a new set of springs/struts soon as well

Rickna 01-25-2011 08:02 AM

Looks good-nice stance.

Shinji Hirako 01-25-2011 09:13 AM

I really don't see the difference!

CERF04ZHP 01-25-2011 09:40 AM

Looks great, really completes the package!

TX_Bullet 01-25-2011 09:07 PM

I dropped an 1.5 in front and same in the rear after I modified the top rubber pads. So car is actually lower in the rear now. I can't stand the back being higher

The only thing I don't like is sometimes ill get a very mild vibration on acceleration around 30-40mph

As for modifying the rear pads the oem measure just over 1/2" I got some 1/4" rubber mat and cut it out

sweet! welcome to the H&R club! did you stick with stock shocks? Time for some clear sidemarkers!

I have the 15mm spring pad in the back, may go to 5mm in the spring.

TX_Bullet 01-28-2011 05:39 AM

Those 5mm pads are a must. And if you pay more than 10 for them ill just make you a set and you pay for shipping. The pads are nothing fancy.

Yea those side markers are ugly. Going to place an order this week for matte grills, side markers and a set of those stealth bulbs for the tail lights.

After that I'm looking at putting a zhp front and rear bumper on. I love that rear diffuser look and these sedans.

Any one got a front lip they want to sell?
