is it possible to retrofit oem nav?

i went to the dealer and they said it'll be $12,000 to do a nav install including parts. Which basically I'd get a custom turbo instead. The nav unit itself is only $2200, anyone know of anyone who's done a retrofit or know of a place that can do one?

Thanks.

It is possible and it's not that hard. All you have to do it run the wiring for it. Once you run the wiring for it all you gotta do is plug everything in. Plug and Play.

Yes, it is possible, but requires grafting your existing and some new harnesses together:

You might also want to ask this question on the bmwnav group at groups.yahoo.com...
