no disrespect to modbargains because i have never dealt with them, but i have dealt with khoalty and i was more than satisfied with the products, shipping, and all around service. I cant see there being much difference at all, if any in the black grills sold from other venders. go with the vender that you trust and want to deal with the most

I take it that there are no OEM black grills available for pre-facelift sedans?

Not all Matte Black Kidney grills are the same. Most of the cheaper grills that you find on ebay and on some other vendors websites for cheap are made of recycled plastic which does mean that product and of course the tabs are going to be more brittle. Our Matte Black Grills are made of ABS plastic material that is non-recycled. Here is a quick video comparison with some different grills that have passed through our doors for you guys to check out the difference.

I recently bought my black grilles from Jlevi for my prefacelift, and I will vouch that they are great quality, (and a great deal pricewise, compared to all the other sites I looked at) and look sick on my ride...will post some pics when I get it back from the mechanic

Go with Khoalty.
Cheapest. Quality is just fine. I have them on my car. |

We post good pictures of all of our stuff to ensure that people don't mistake it for the old junky fitment stuff. Thanks for the kind words, everyone! :pimpin: |
I just received my Khoalty grills. Shipping was fast. Pricing was great. I got the high-gloss facelift sedan grills. I managed to break 2 or 3 of the plastic tabs trying to separate the grilll. I did this as gently as possible with a padded screwdriver and gentle gentle manipulation without damaging or marring the front part of the grill and it was the most frustrating thing I've ever done. After half an hour I managed to separate the grills but 2 or 3 of the tabs broke. I think I can still manage to get the grills reasonably secure but its frustrating that I'm half-assing a brand new product on my car. Maybe your supplier can use softer (less brittle) plastic. i'll post up some pics once they're on.
