D.A. Import Specialist

Hello fanatics, I'm just writing this to share my experience with DAI in south orange county. Let me begin this review with how blown away I am with Jack (the owner). Jack on the level from 1-10, this guy is rolling on level 11+.

So rewind to last week, I was really busy with work and the misses was driving my car. Well the inevitable happened and the car freaked out, basically blown coil and the car could barely hold an idle. I really didnt want to deal with the car and didnt feel like towing it far, was stuck at work with major deadlines. So I made her call AAA and had them send a flatbed and found DAI on e46 fanatics. Rushing down there after work, Jack was super nice to the misses and gave her a tour of his new shop. Lots of cool vintage cars, he could call this a museum! He even offered us some chocolate cake that his cousin brought in. :P

Anyways he swapped out my coil pack, I found out my spark plug was loose and shot out and destroyed the coil, which was not pretty. Meanwhile I needed new control arm bushings so he hooked me up with an e46 fanatics deal. He knows soo much about our cars and is definitely passionate about working on them. He does all the work himself. I'm sitting here still amazed at how cool he is, plus he gave me a good deal and yes he uses OEM parts. Just mention that you are from the e46 forum and he will treat you not like a customer but as a friend!

They are located right off of crown valley parkway and the 5fwy in Laguna Niguel.

Nice.... Jack and his dad do great work.

jerrys330i 04-24-2011 10:51 PM

yes there great over there, and jack is awssome, real nice guy would rate him a ten. all i had done was get my fenders rolled by them, and even then they were nice an gave customer service as if i had spent a couple grand over there. you know that you have someone good when no matter what they still have the time to go around the block with you and test out what ever you got to make sure you enjoy there service, not going to lie they are a little pricey for me but they do great work, and what isnt pricey when it comes to our bimmers

yup yup i just made a thread about jack a couple days ago also. i just had a oil change done by him for like 25 bucks for the drain filter and even tightened up my hand break.. he has that awsome wide body 330 which fooled me at first thinking it was a m3. and omhl dude your over asking people about $100 header install let alone a bmw/ mercedes shop man .. maybe some muffler shop in santa ana will but not on here dude so go read up on some diy's. best of luckk..

anyway hes a awsome guy ( jack) and to bad im not needing any work done because i love goin and just hanging out with him and walking under my car trying to check for leacks ive never found before and worn parts that ive never seen.. for example he pin pointed a very ver very small tear in my rear right axle boot that was spraying a small amount of grease onto my subframe.. awsome he found it but told me its nothing to worry about at this pointt..
and i personnally dont think hes that unresaonable if you tell him your from e46f cuz he knows youll write a review

I have known Jack and his father well over 12 years. They do all the work on my cars as well as my family. Honest and reliable and great work.

By the way jerrys330i, you know you can always negotiate with Jack. He is always out to help peps, specially if you have financial issues. I alone have spent Ksss of $ there and like everyone else but times are tough, but Jack has always taken care of me even now that Im struggling.

Just a thought.

Bumpage - oops I realized I wrote the wrong suite number previously and cant edit my post from a few years ago. DONT GO TO Unit A. They suck. DA is at the end of the building by the railroad tracks.

Anyways Jack helped install my ST Suspension Coilovers and got me an alignment and dialed the height in. The car rides like its on rails. I also needed my fog light covers painted and he called up his buddy's shop and got it done. What else do you need? He can hook you up. I'm just waiting to get some bigger wheels so he can help me roll my fenders. Awesome shop!

Ya the Dbag in Unit A who scammed his way into DA Imports old business will tell you he is a BMW specialist or whatever you drive in with! Even if its a mule. Or DA has gone out of business lies. Shady character! Very shady!!

DA Import Specialist is in the same building as it was for 21 years but now they are at the end of building in Unit G.
