Tires - Which brand to go for?
Hi,
I am looking at getting a set of CSL replica staggered set up for my 330ci. I was looking at going a 235 up front and a 265 at the rear. So far I have heard that BF Goodrich Geforce are pretty good. Any other ideas which would be around the same price or a bit more expensive for something noticeably better? Any help would be great. Thanks! |
You may also want to consider the Yokohama S Drive tires.

A lot of my customers really like the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110s, but both the Yokohamas and BFGoodrich tires are popular choices.

I just picked up a set of Goodyear Eagle GT's, they are amazing for the price. Check out online reviews before you buy.

Those g-forces are a bit pricey and will do you no good on wet roads or gravel or what have you. I loved my nt-01s.

Are there any confirmed e46 coupes without rubbing in the rear with a 265 tyre on a 9.5wide rim? I am told brand and type of tires will have a lot to do with it. Cheers!

The offset of the wheels will play a large part in whether or not you rub. With the proper offsets you will not rub. What you did hear though is correct; different tires will have different sidewall characteristics. Some tire brands run narrower than their printed size, some run true to size, and some run wider than their printed size.
