Squeak from passenger door
Ive got a sqeak from my passenger door, it is coming from a dry rubber door seal, I smeared it with oil and it stopped for a while and now it has returned.
I could smear it with oil again but dont really want to keep doing that, is there a more permanent something I could do ? :banghead: |
sadly, your only option is to keep lubricating it.

Did anyone try dry lubricants like teflon spray for this?

Is this the annoying squeak over ever bump? I thought it was the top seal rubbing with the cover it was sealing with?
If this is the case which seal is it? The door itself or the window to window seal? |
Hi mdkowal, It does exactly that when you go over a bump, however when I smear oil on the door shut rubber it goes. I wonder whether a new door seal rubber will do it or is this just the nature of the beast ? :(
That Teflon dry lubricant sounds worth tying Manza, the trouble with using oil is the mess with dust and so forth mixed with the oil. |

And I have the same problem. |

I run a little NAPA Sil-Glyde along the top every few weeks when it kicks up. Just part of the beauty of owning a vert lol
