Got my new vert trunk handle in the mail yesterday
![]() Installed it today. Did not use the top part in the picture. Used the old one so my cheap a$$ would not have to pay for paint. The reason I replaced it was because where the screws connect it was broken in 2 places so when you go to pop the trunk its like the handle wanted to come off. It was like that when i bought the car. Before ![]() ![]() By mulatto325 at 2011-05-11 So now its fixed and I can pop my trunk to get my tech or my mossberg. lol ![]() It took me about 2 hours. It was pretty straight forward. It would have been easier if I got the new piece painted. Removing the old glue from the original piece I reused took the longest. Then getting my led plate lights to line up with the contats was a PITA. I took a some pics. Should I write up a DIY? |
i have the same prob, havent changed it yet because i didnt want to bother with paint. good to know that painted part can be removed seperately. Do you have the part number? is it the same one listed for $75.26 on Tischer?

^^Thinking of doing the same, the screw slot near the keyhole on mine broke today. Just the inner black peice plastic, the outside peice is fine - Speedbumps can you show me a picture of how yours looks so I can get an idea on how you did it?
