Coupe Window Regulator replacement question

I've read a bunch of DIYs for replacing the window regulators on the coupes.

Ive read on some that after you remove the two E7 bolts that hold the window glass, that you then have to remove the inside and outside window molding, and then pull the glass out.

Others say you don't have to remove the outside trim, but you do have to remove the inside trim, and then remove the window.

And still some say you don't actually have to remove the glass.

So which is it? Which is easiest? I have the door panel apart and am waiting not sure what I want to do with the glass when I go to remove the regulator. Thanks.

Glass removal isn't necessary. After unbolting from the regulator, I usually duct tape the window closed to remove it from inside the door, so its out of the way.

Right but you have a sedan. I have the coupe, thus no frame around the window to duct tape to

You can tape the glass to the door, same thing.

or use a shim

Thanks guys,

Didn't realize it was that easy, I assumed the glass was too heavy for tape. Rolled some duct tape on the window glass and it got wedged in the water seal, holds the window fine. Got the regulator out, new one is in the mail. Appreciate the help!
