HELP!
Hi, i am in desperate need of some help.

Was in a crash with my M3 a couple of months ago which caused damage to body work and both driver side wheel after hitting a curb. i am now getting a whining noise at 40+mph

car has been fully repaired but still getting a whining noise after changing the steering rack, Differential, rear lower arm, rear wheel bearing, wheels and also new tyres.

the noise goes away if i am going round a right hand corner and the load is on the passenger side of the car, but when i turn on a left corner and the load is on the driver side the noise is back and also driving in a straight line but not as loud as going round a left hand corner.

any ideas what it could be?? :hmm:

Same thing happened to me in my e36 M. I think it was the bearings needed to be repacked

front wheel bearings? were the tires replaced? my tires had caused a whirring noise...when i replaced it, the noise went away.

It's not coming from the front as had the car on the ramp and took it to 40mph and it was still whining.

Could it possibly be the drive shaft? It it has had a knock and it's not running straight causing a vibration??

call your insurance and tell them that not everything was fixed.

Either wheel bearing or drive shaft. Get it looked ASAP.

Av tried a wheel bearing but it's not helped. Only option is a drive shaft. Fingers crossed it solves the problem as it's my last option.
