couple questions for anyone skilled in Japanese cooking
I went to this underground Japanese jazz bar in NYC, and among the drinks and various great food, I fell in love with Hayashi Rice. From what I know, It's a tomato/red wine demi-glace sauce with thinly sliced beef, mushrooms and onions with white sticky rice. Anyone have this before?
For someone who is alright (decent at times :P) at cooking, how easy is it to make an edible dish of this? Also, are there any tricks not online to make a good white rice without a rice cooker?
