Project Blue Suede Wood

I finally decided to get to work on my car after going to Bimmerfest 2011 this year in Pasadena. My first thing I wanted to do was get rid of the wood trim throughout the car. It is nice looking but for an old man maybe. I toyed with the idea of brushed aluminum for about 2 years until i saw it on a car at Bimmerfest this past year that was the same color set up as mine. I didn't like it. So i looked at the Piano Black too but that was a bit more than i wanted to dedicate to this portion of the project. So after checking out what others had done on their cars i decided to go to the local fabric store and get some suede swatches and found a piece i liked and decided to go with it.
This is what I have done as of today
Unfortunately the pop up nav that I have has a crappy kit because it is so big and has so many wires that it does not install flush against the dash. So it looks a bit wonky in one photo and the corners at the top look off but they really are not.
Eventually i plan to ditch the radio, move the air control down to where the Ipod is stored and install a double din navigation. Which will happen sooner now that the suede has been put in and I actually am quite happy with the results.
I will do the doors and the pieces in the back seat as well as over window controls/shift box area.
I have been toying with the idea of doing the pillars but I am not sure if it will be over kill or not. I guess I can always try it out before i go all the way with that.
I will put up better photos when i do the other parts.
These pieces were easy, but it is the curved pieces that will be the challenge.
**I have also fixed that little uneven/sagging spot between the middle and large piece at the bottom, these pictures were taken PRE fabric tuck finalization spot checking.

It's a different look, and I kinda like it! Are you going to do the inserts in the steering wheel to match or maybe some two tone seats to go with the trim? I personally think that would all tie in nicely.

Seats would be a maybe, but not in the current plan. Not sure what you are referring to by inserts in the steering wheel though.
