Leave the lips as is... I already know this will look great!

Leave lips polished. And while your at it get your car detailed too haha

Yea thats what i was thinkin it should be but had second thoughts....and im looking to get them powdercoated. The only gold the shop has is called Sun gold but it looks pretty nice to me

mhs328Ci 08-08-2011 03:08 PM

powdercoating is definitely the best way to go about it

rame46 08-08-2011 03:08 PM

Its either that or i know of a friend that will do it 50 a rim....but i need to find out his exact process first

rame46 08-08-2011 03:17 PM

For powdercoat it will cost me 100 a rim due to leaving the lip...a bit pricy but should be worth it

Do it! Only paint the centers. This looks gorgeous:

You need to do a full paint correction to have your car looking anywhere near as nice as that one, though.

if u go spray bomb route.....(ie cheap out :D ) ....make sure you use at least a skim-coat of an ACID-ETCH PRIMER to grab hold of the sand-papered metal wheel surface & bonds well to the subsequently-applied paint..or they'll be a chipping-&-a-peeling.... especially at the high-powered spray & wash.

I'd powder coat.

EDIT: not knocking the GOLD,...but I wonder what a nice high-glossed brushed silver would look like.....too much silver, w/the outer lips??.....anyway.....just a thought....
