You don't have 3.0 you have a 2.5 in your 325.

Yes it could be done, but why? You'd have the same power if not less from the 2.5 than you do from your 2.8. If its blown just get a junkyard m52b28(your 5 series motor) if its not and you want more performance there are more tuning options out there for the m52b28 than the m54b25 (your 325 motor). Get a cai, headers, s52 cams, 740 MAF, 24lb hr injectors and tune and you could have that m52 putting out 215 to 225 at the wheels for less than a couple grand.
