I'm interested in this. Has anyone in the forums used it? experience?

I am thinking about getting this but I am confused on what exactly I need to order. Part # MDMAAAMBS is just the device holder? So where are the brackets for E46 on the site? There is a PDF how to install it, but no part number and I don't see any price or place to add it to cart.

The dash bracket by itself (in case you already have a device holder is: MDM46A599
The bracket with black holder is: MDM46AKBY
And the bracket with white holder is: MDM46AKWY

The black phone holder looks like it is really unnecessarily thick. Does it swivel or something? I couldn't see any side profile shots on the site. I don't want it to look like I have 2 inches of unnecessary plastic junk between the bracket and my phone. I might try to find a different phone holder that will screw into your bracket, unless you got some side profile shots to put my mind at ease...

edit: I know it rotates, but by swivel I meant can you change the angle or something? And if you can change the angle on it, how secure is it? Is it going to move if I push my phone?

Would it be possible to bend the mounting plates to be bent the opposite way round to fit RHD?

No, it wouldn't.

I got it and the device holder will not fit my phone. I have an HTC Titan and it doesn't extend wide enough for my phone to fit :( There also aren't any instructions on how to mount the holder to the bracket. Looking on Bimmian.com I couldn't find any instructions either. Disappointed.

edit: I see the instructions above now. The mounting screws/bolts for the holder are a little too big for the slot, so I guess you have to force them in and the plastic will be bored out by the screws??? It's hidden so I guess it doesn't matter, but it seems like they don't fit properly and I'm just not very impressed. I'll probably use my own nut/bolt combo so I don't permanently disfigure the holder. Just my two cents :)

If Bimmian or anyone else can recommend a third-party company that makes device holders that would attach to this bracket, I would appreciate it.

I currently use the bracket with one of those sticky pad holders (it fits a t-bracket). Check out Proclip as well, they have custom mounts for pretty much all phones. I'd totally get this if I had mad monies iPhone 5 Proclip
