I have ccfls on my headlights, I think any that come integrated with the headlight suck but that's IMO. But Yea you can go the ccfl route or led rout they're really easy to install. And if you ever get tired you can get them off, where as the ones that come with the headlights you can't. :(

Yeah i understand but how do you install them when i see the CCFLs they are just rings and cables

Well there are many DIY on here. But basically you open the headlight and they have clips to place them in front of the housing, and then you just splice them to get power.

ohh i see that seem simple enough

Welcome to the forums mate. :hi:

As for the choice of AE's, since you've got '05 M3 you've should have oem projector lights already fitted, so forget about getting the full new replacement assemblies, you'd just be downgrading. Go for the individual AE rings installation. Like mentioned above, there's heaps of DIY's on how to install these and it's pretty simple once you've read a few and checked out all the pics.

The final choice you'll need to decide is whether you want CCFL or LED. The CCFL's give a nice soft standard oem look where as the LED's give a great bright stand out look. I personally like the LED's because they can still be seen clearly in daylight as opposed to CCFL's which can't, but hey that's my preference and each to their own. Have a look at a few threads and see what you like.
