I have a 2000 323ci with 155xxx on it. Just changed out sparkplugs to stop misfire code and now im getting (P1397) camshaft pos. sensor "B" circut bank 1. I need to know if anyone knows a site i can get a good deal on this sensor and maybe how hard this will be to change out myself. Where its located....etc etc...thanks guys for everything

Camshaft B bank is the exhaust cam sensor. its located on the underside of the VANOS side.

Are you sure its broken? Just forgot to plug it in? or something? www.pelicanparts.com

I forgot to mention....the car is running fine with that code....if it is a camshaft sensor wouldnt it be running rough? And not sure if it is loose or not i havent got in and checked it yet due to weather.

Thanks for the pic i thought thats where it would be.

Wont neccessarily run rough with a faulty sensor, might get a misfire or two. But nothing more.

to get the computer reflashed is also puting butter on bacon, but it cant hurt..
