!!!!!!!FS: Focal 6.5" K2P Comp Set!!!!!!!!

SOLD!!This is a mint set for sale. This is by far the best speakers I have owned. The mid bass is amazing! One of the best in the market. If you're considering them you know what these speakers are about. I am selling these because I have a 996tt that I need some mod money for so these got to go as I dont drive my M as much as I use to. Selling for $475 shipped and my price is firm. Thanks guys.

You wont be disapointed with these. Have you listened to set before?

I use to run two sets on my last build... they are a work of art. If you want quality Focal is the way
To go, I just never had the non upgrade version, I'm sure they sound amazing but they did upgrade because of an issue with the crossovers.

I have Focal Electras in my office. To die for!

Crutchfield seem to think the 6.5s won't fit in a 330Ci. I thought the interior design was near-identical to the M3. Am I wrong? I'd love to buy these...

It does require some modification but well worth it. I did my own custom install but if you're not a diy any good audio shop can install these for you.

What sort of mods are we talking? I like keeping the stock look of the car (except for the supercharger, and the M3 seats, AND the aftermarket wheels, AND the lowering springs...)

(Actually, I bought the car that way...)

I think if I do this, it will have to be done in stages, as I acquire components. I assume one leaves the crossovers out if leaving the stock HU and amp in place?

It will look stock as there is no door panel modification, The mid speaker is no longer mounted to the door panel. What I did was attach a 6.5" mdf ring to the door but you do need to use a dremel to cut an opening to clear the magnet. I then seal the door with dynamat and the entire door cavatity becomes the enclosure. It sound awesome! I try to take pics to give you an idea.

I used an alpine head unit and amp to run this set.

We have a well-stocked wood shop in the basement, including a Dremel. I'll look forward to your pics, as something's not quite clear: Do you fasten the speaker ring to the MDF ring, or do you somehow clamp the speaker ring between the door and the MDF ring? Something tells me it's the former, but a picture is worth a thousand words...

Thanks,

Michele
