Any Fanatics in Ann Arbor?
Hey everybody,

I am moving to Ann Arbor, MI to work for Car and Driver tomorrow but don't know anybody in the area. If there are any people near by that would want to meet up let me know. I understand how sketchy this could be but I'm just looking to meet some people. I'm a college aged student but not attending this semester because of the job. Thanks

Welcome to Michigan. I'm located in Troy, about 45-55 minutes north and east of AA. I don't get out to AA much anymore, but I used to spend a lot of time there for a few years. If you need any suggestions on where to go/do/see/eat, let me know. Also, you should check out our local Cars and Coffee get togethers in the spring time at Kart2Kart in Sterling Heights, about 60 minutes from you in AA. They're a lot of fun.

I'm near by in Canton and work for Roush/Ford SVT. I drive an 05 545i 6sp sport which I just wrapped in white satin over gloss sapphire black.

Oh cool, my car before the BMW was a '93 Foxbody. I loved it but I couldn't trust it to make the drive from CT to Ann Arbor. It was great fun though.

I live in downtown Detroit so not too far from AA. I'm going to start going to the C&C once I finish up the suspension and wheel work on my car you should definitely check it out.

slschembari 04-22-2012 03:59 PM

Definitely. Where is this C&C. I've been trying to find one around here, but so far, no luck.

It's at Kart 2 Kart which is in Utica. That's a hike from AA, but its lots of fun.

I had a friend that went to Michigan State and while I would visit him, at least 3 times that I remember, we drove to Ann Arbor for zingerman's deli. Best $16 sandwich money can buy! I have gone back to AA from Chicago three times as well which is around 4.5hrs each way. Love those sandwiches. Now I want to go back to try that Chinese restaurant someone suggested above.
