will this work with a 01 without the mode button

^+1 will it work on the 01?

I'll do some digging and see but I don't think so, I have a Head unit that I can sell you with the mode button out of my 03'

If you put your year and model into the sites compatible products search it says it will work. I sent a message to the tech support section of usa spec lets see what they say.

Answer
The PA15-BMW will be the interface for the vehicle in question as long as the vehicle does not have NAVIGATION.
