I told my gf when we get married if I have to buy a damn expensive ring she has to buy me a 1911, nighthawk, wilson or ed brown haven't decided yet haha.

Nighthawk for sure, wilsons and ed browns are great but only night hawks are built by 1 smith from start to finish.

For those who dont know, these guns are all hand built, by one smith, with tool steel parts.

I'm actually planning on buying a full sized GRP next.

David, check in to a line of credit at your bank. I was told about it not to long ago when I got a $2700 loan for my business. $3000 will be about $30 a month vs $120ish if you get a loan, same APR. I'm going to do that later to buy another semi custom, gives me alittle time to sell some of my old toys and when I get it paid off with in a few months it only costs about $50 extra.


I'd be willing to part with it for $2600 shipped or trade for something like a NHC dominator.

A nighthawk, especially a commander, should never be a safe queen. These guns are made to be used as defensive pistols. Mines got some holster ware but its no big deal, they will refinish the whole gun for just over $200, individual parts for $10 each.

IMHO, carry it until it has no finished left, send it back and let them referb it.

If I keep it I MAY have them to convert it to 9mm, they will do that conversion for $200..... I dont shoot much .45 any more but with my sub machine guns coming in I'd like to stick to one caliber.

I kinda wish this had a rail.
