Engine start-up noise?? HELP needed!!!!
 

Hey, this only happens probably 1 in 20 times when i start the car i get a high pitch drilling sound thats pretty loud. Anybody know what this could be????

I'm trying to get a video of it but it only happens randomly so its a bit tricky.

Also my BMW is a manual and i've noticed some engine lag, particularly in 2nd and 3rd gear, e.g. when i change up to that gear it takes 1 or 2 seconds before i get full power. Anybody have any clue what this could be also????
