Trying older chicks

So Sunday night, one of my friends texted me that she's having a birthday dinner. When I got that text, I didn't have any wheels on my car, but I ended up getting em on, showering, and making it to the dinner. Anyways, I show up a tad bit late, and the only two people I knew were sitting at the far end of the table, so I sat at the end next to some chick that I've met before a long time ago. Everyone at this table lives at the on-campus apartments at my college, except for me.

We ended up talking most of the night (I wasn't about to be a loner at the end of the table), and I guess it was obvious I was into her. Then, another mutual friend with her bf showed up and sat with the two of us at the end of the table. We all started talking, had a couple of drinks, had a good time. When we all walked out, she wanted to see where my car was since she was fascinated that I put wheels on within an hour and still made it (I was putting spacers on my new wheels :shhh:). She saw it, nodded sorta, and walked to their car.

Later that night, my friend that was sitting with us (Amanda) texted me that she found out through the birthday girl that this chick is single, and that apparently she asked who I was after everyone left. Apparently though, her bf thinks I could do better, I laughed

Now tonight, that same birthday girl (Danielle) called me and said I should join them two for a drink at a bar, so I went. We all hung out, there was another one of their guy friends there that I ended up knowing through a bunch of other people, so it wasn't bad. The dude left early, then the chick I'm interested in went to the bathroom. This is when Danielle slides over to me with a huge smile and basically calls me out on it and tells me I should definitely go for it. She says them two are rooming together next year and that I'm definitely invited . ANYWAYS, I find out she's 26, I'm 22, not a huge difference, but I've never dated an older girl before. Danielle told me I should add her on Facebook and get to know her and just start going out casually.

Not sure if there's a certain game-plan with older chicks... Insight OT?

there would be a big deal if the girl was out of college and at that age, as she'd have a full time job and etc. I wouldn't think of it as such a big deal since she's still in college and hanging around girls your age. Just play it cool.

1. Your mutual friend has a personal agenda to get you guys together due to her friends' interest.
2. Utilize that personal agenda.
3. Tell her you're willing to hang out, and for HER to set something up and you'll make it.
4. She'll do it, and do all the initial planning for you.

Shows interest, shows indifference, and gives you a contingency plan in case you aren't enjoying yourself.

Alternatively, you could go to elementary school birthday parties to pickup chicks.

A 4 year difference? Psh.... go find a girl that's got at least 10 years on you. It'd be much more fun.

I have always dated older women. That includes my now fiance. I think it's a lot safer to be the younger one because the older is typically looking for more commitment and stability. At 26 I would have been frustrated with a 22 year old. I remember myself back then and cannot imagine putting up with that **** now.

Who has dinner parties in college? If I had money, it went with beer and beer accessories.

And why not just step up and take a swing at the ball tee'd up for you. God
