My car just returned from a 4-month stint at ProEFI and Saad Racing.
The car was shipped to Phoenix, AZ with a Stage 3 HPF kit, under 500 miles.
While at ProEFI and Saad Racing, the vehicle received a complete ProEFI EMS, Traction Control system, HO Coils, iBoost set-up (details to follow) , intake, flex fuel system, catch can, control arms... and the list goes on.
I finally had the pleasure and opportunity to drive the beast and am ecstatic at the results thus far. The ProEFI traction control is absolutely in a league of itself and makes these crazy horsepower cars, drivable - without the sensation that you may loose control and end up in a wall.
The iBoost is set-up with 5 settings, as follows:
- Level 1: 715whp; straight spring pressure (223 kpa, approx. 18 psi)
- Level 2: ramps to 22 psi by about 60 mph
- Level 3: ramps to 275 kpa by 65 mph
- Level 4: ramps to 300 kpa by 70 mph
- Level 5: "Kill" mode; is straight 300 kpa*
The first 100 kpa is vacuum, every kpa after that is equivalent to .147 psi
Per Jason at ProEFI, my BASE setting is making the same power as when my car was first dynode at ProEFI on Pump/Meth, approx. 715 whp.
Jason and Saad know what they are doing; I have yet to turn the iBoost switch to Level 2, no joke.
The car drives as straight as an arrow under full throttle from a dead stop; one can hear the timing that is being pulled on the car under acceleration.
