Are you having trouble passing inspection in NY?

Special shout out and big thanks to Ace(forgot his forum name). He posted on this forum before asking if anyone wanted o2 sims made for you. Very good guy he is. Bimmerbrakes stopped selling them, so he was my only other choice.
As some of you may know, I been having trouble passing inspection due to no catalytic converters in the car.
He just started to make these things so me and him went through a bunch of trial errors.
1st sims he made for me, kept getting o2 sensor heater circuit control codes. and they popped up instantly after, clearing codes, driving, then shutting car off and on. Wire came loose as he told me.
2nd attempt- Looks like everything was great. No codes or anything. Then I tried hiding the sims by the brake fluid reservoir. The wires bent slightly and then the same codes came on later on for the HO2s. He inspected it, and a wire got disconnected again. On both of these attempts, Ace paypal'd me the shipping fees I paid to send it back to him.
3rd and final attempt- This was when he thought about it, and soldered the hell out of the wires so they wont disconnect. AND IT WORKED!

No codes, no cat codes, no post cat o2 sensor codes, no HO2s codes. Code free!
If your interested. let me know

Nice job Eugene. So lets say I have a friend who wanted to delete secondary resonators . Could he use these sims and still pass inspection?

Barbaros 06-13-2012 03:06 PM

I am definitely interested. I have emissions coming up on the 27th, but luckily in CT I have a grace period until its reg renewal time to get it done with just a $20 late fee. Can you hook me up?

zhenkaaaM3 06-22-2012 02:49 PM

David, 2nd resonator delete won't do sh^t to throw off the o2 sensors.
Tarik, yea, these guys were bunch of retards after I said it was a 330.

And SH, pm'd u

Thanks for the information NV, I got my bypass units from Ace and I have no CEL anymore. I hooked up input and it is amazing what these things do! Before the install when I would rev the gas, the sensors were pinned to red/black. Now after the install the bypasses simulate normal temps and as I hit the gas, it was giving great readings in the green and adjusting according to throttle %.
