Whaaat??? Home Depot now accepts Paypal?
I'm walking thru the store and I see signs advertising "the new way to pay in-store". I guess u can enter your email on the credit card swiper machine as a form of payment. I gotta go get details. Pretty cool.

I wonder if the stores do that so they don't have to pay the 3 percent fees that VISA and MC charge the vendors ?
I am waiting for the day that stores start charging the customer the 2,3 percent fee for using their charge card. |

Stores won't explicitly charge you the 2% credit card fee. It's already built into the product price. |
True that... Everybody always finds a way to make the others pay...like buying a house they say free closing or they will pay closing fees, but they are already listing the house 5,000-10,000 higher than value or higher than what they need to get by...

Hmm... interesting. Doubt we get it here in Canada.
Years ago I had a Paypal credit card, I'm talking a good 5+ years back. I loved that thing, instead of waiting days for them to transfer my money I could use it instantly while getting groceries. They no longer seem to offer it in Canada though, so when it expired I was SOL :( |

paypal was prob offered for those that wanted the convenience of it (and prob so HD can avoid cc fees if the paypal account uses a bank account instead) |
I used my paypal at home depot
I was mailed a physical card with a magnetic stripe It is paper, not plastic They were actually giving $10 off any $50 purchase if using paypal to check out at home depot ... so I went and bought $50 worth of stuff for the home [bimmerapp] |
