Go for the remap with Simon at emaps

I eventually got a remap from Simon at emaps after reading all the good things about him on the bmw forums the figures on the emaps website shows bhp up to 185 and torque up to 390nm not exactly sure what my figures are probably something close to this I'm not to bothered about figures I care more about performance and all I can say is WOW what a difference this is the first time I've remapped a car due to being worried about the negative affects and reliability but I can definitely say I will be remapping every car I buy from now on not just for the increased power but for the drivability and the better response and smoother delivery. My car has done 135,000 miles so it has hi lighted a few things that were on there way out which is one of the injectors which was playing up before the remap and a tensioner pulley which isn't too expensive to fix. But I can honestly say it is definitely worth the money I haven't really noticed a difference I fuel consumption apart from if you floor it it does use a bit more but if you want good fuel economy then get a 1.2 fiesta. I recommend Simon at emaps he is a nice guy and is professional at what he does. My only negatives which don't out weigh the positives by far are the fact you get bit more smoke when you put your foot down and I have a straight twin exhaust and a silver car so I do get black soot on my bumper and if you have a few miles on your car like me it could highlight them but all in all a worthwhile mod and I'm so glad I took the plunge and I will be doing it on my next car for sure just get one with less miles.
