I replied to your other thread. It's probably #5 in this diagram.

Or... #10

I know how to replace #5, how do I test it and #10, where the hell is that?

Solidjake 07-22-2012 07:13 PM

No idea, just looking for any "flap" related to the ac system!

BigDRick323 07-22-2012 07:21 PM

Thanks Jake! I can hear the blower working hard and feeling a slight breeze coming out of the vents. Teasing me.

Anyone have this part laying around that I could purchase?

Solidjake 07-22-2012 07:21 PM

Is there a way you can just rip the entire dash apart, run the ac and see if it blows fully? Then you can maybe see if the problem lies deeper in the system.

Air gets cold at my feet and I can hear the blower working hard so I know that it's not those things, I think it's the flap motor(s) not opening the main vents. If thats so then its #5 right?

BigDRick323 07-22-2012 07:46 PM

Why would all of them show an error? Maybe there is a fuse blown???

BigDRick323 07-22-2012 09:01 PM

Anyone??? How can I test the motor to see if it works?

I can't help you but I can provide comfort. I drove my car 225 miles with no A/C...it was 104 degrees. Then my black pleather made my ass sweat profusely. I looked like a shat myself when I got out.

I would never solely rely on the errors to tell you what is going on. Could be one thing which snowballs and affects other things which throws the code.

How can I test the motors to see, where can I force the vents open.

Look for someone with a GT1/DIS, you can test the flaps/motors and more to see if they are moving.
