Fuel gague and tank issue 330i
 

About a month ago I filled up the car and the fuel gague was stuck on E for about 50 miles. That problem didn't happen again until in the last few weeks I have noticed erratic fuel readings, they don't make sense. Today I fueled up the can knowing that it only had 1/4 tank and it only took 4 gallons. The pump would click off several times not letting me put more fuel in it, the tank cannot be more the 1/2 mybe 3/4 full. I replaced the fuel pump and filter last fall. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for the help!! :ben:

Are you using premium gas? Stupid question I know, but I bought a z3 that was fed 87 octane by its previous owner which had a bad fuel gauge. Turns out after a tank or two of premium the problem fixed itself.

Tank not accepting fuel reminds me of my nissan sentra. I removed the evap canister and vented the lines. Could replace if you want but i think its canister. Guage saying diff readings though sounds more like sender or wiring/ connections corroded
