Lighting Noob Has a Question
Right now I'm running 8000k Khoalty HID's in my xenons and 2500k Nokya H3 Halogen bulbs in my projector fogs and Im starting to get sick of the setup. I want to go 6000k all around. Will I be able to put a H3 HID bulb in my projector fogs with no problem? Or would I need to buy a whole kit with ballasts and everything and do a retrofit.

Also, if i were to go with Halogen H3's such as these:

would the color be an exact match to the 6000k HID's I will have in my xenons?

Thanks for the help. And I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question

H3 is just the size of the bulb. You still need the balasts and what not. The 6ks will match if you get the kits from the same place, but there is a chance that they will be slightly different if your order them from different manufacturers.

A H3 bulb is an incandescent bulb and therefore unable to properly match the 6000k temp color of a HID bulbs. You will be able to get close but as the bulb will have a coating on the outside of the bulb, as time goes by the color of the bulb will change drastically. You can however get a H3 HID kit for your fog lights. Just make sure that there is enough room in the housing.

The H3 bulb should fit. I saw a DIY somewhere putting a hid bulb into those aftermarket projector housings. You will have to do some cutting to make it work right. I also advise running a wiring harness for the fogs
