Whats wrong with my engine??

I switched my spark plugs a while ago and i put in the 1 prong iridium ones. I found out that they sold me the wrong ones so i bought the bosh 4 pronged ones.
A few weeks later i noticed that sometimes when my car is in idol it starts revving to 1500 rpm. A few weeks later the check engine light came on and ever since then every time i start up my car in the morning the engine starts shaking a little (misfire?).
I took it to the shop and it said system to lean and misfires in bank 1,2,3,4,5,6.
My mechanic suggested switching the o2 sensors and coils packs and seafoaming the engine and fuel lines. I did everything and nothing has changed. It has been 2 months and hasnt gotten worse but i need to fix.
Please help!!!

What model / year is your car

Carry it to a BMW specialist not Firestone. Check for intake leaks first.

You want 4 prong spark plugs. Ngk and Bosch are the two brands to use, but some people had problems with bosch. I didnt, but you should buy a set of 6 ngk laser platinum oem plugs. (4prong). Make sure they get torqued properly !!!!!!

Also the lean code means you got an intake leak. Check your intake boots first

Yeah the 2nd time i switched the plugs i got the 4 prongged bosh but i just called bmw and they said before they look at my car to change to ngk.

Ive only used the platinum ngk 4prong. Start by switching mechanics even if u are friends. Sounds like he could have cost you alot for nothing. Sounds like your o2 sensors are doing what they are supposed to. So many people just change o2 sensors when code comes up even though alot of the time it was just telling you that your engine wasnt burning properly. O2 sensor codes come on when they hit a signal range of too high or too low too many times. Agreed check intake first. Can spray carb cleaner around fittings, hoses, etc. and see if you hear rpms change.

Yeah i found the crack in my intake pipe. Im going to replace the piece tmr. As for the rpms yeah im switching the spark plugs to ngk. Thanks a lot guys. You saved me a lot more time and money and headaches
