front brake rotor removal

After removing the brake rotor mounting screw, I am not able to remove the rotors. I didn't believe you had to remove the wheel bearings to remove the rotors. Could they be rusted to the hub? I tried penetrating oil and then tapping with a hammer but no luck.

Bang it with a dead blow. Dumb question, you took the caliper off, right? Hit the center with a hammer. It'll come off.

^ That's what worked for me. Hours of PB Blaster...had to move up from a small hammer to a big one; the increased mass made a difference.

Yes I had removed the caliper. After 13 years the 2 surfaces had fused together. Lots of penetrating oil and 30 blows with the hammer finally got them off. Thanks for the advice.

Nice.

I had to use a big block of wood and a hammer.
