Hi, my names mike and im not really new to this. I have been reading these forums for the last 6 months. But now i have a problem. 3 days ago there was a bad storm in the area with hail. I wanted to get my 330ci under a car wash to protect it. Getting there i drove through some deep water. Now the service engine light is on. The electric blowing fan will not kick on unless i turn ac on. The flat tire sensor keeps going on. All the lights are fogged up. It overheats since the fan wont run. Im wondering if i should turn it into insurance or try fixing it myself. If you could point me to the right forum that would be great.

Get the codes read.
Electric fan or fan clutch? Either could've taken a dump. Your alternator could've also gotten wet causing electrical issues.

Water came over the hood. Probably 2 foot deep water. Hit it at 20 mph. The fan is my biggest worry. But long term damage is also a concern. I bought car used with a power train warranty. I believe there was a drive train warranty too. I need help im a small bussiness owner and i drive allot. And no water got into intake btw.

Electric fan... been doing test all day on it. It spools up when thermostat was unplugged and ac was on. Would not do its diagnostic run which its supose to do

Get your alternator checked.

ouch, sounds bad. +1 on the alternator. You might have to replace a few of the electrical components worst case.
