Honda Ruckus

Who knows anything about these?

I'm trying to find something to use to save gas when I have to drive to work everyday.

Good option?

How much is it to motor swap?

GRIFFIN 10-03-2012 12:52 PM

It's nice and I like it, but for the price, you're better off with a cheap motorcycle.

andrewrossnagel 10-03-2012 01:20 PM

Its biggest advantage is in most states you don't need a license. Get a bike

You think it's a good plan to plasti dip a ruckus, but hesitate because you don't have one yet.

All the while one of your first actions is to ask how much it'd be to swap motors when you also want to save money on gas.

I saw a Ruckus gang once it was like 15 of them rolling down the street. I was nervous mayhem was gonna break out at any moment. I got the heck out of there. :eeps:

I'm kidding lol.... I do not think it's a great idea to plasti dip it. And i'm trying to learn about it and I guess I don't need a motor swap if I stay off the highways.

So i'd be fine with a 49cc

What kind of motorcycles could I get? From what I have seen for this price I think i might like how the ruckus looks over what a cheap motorcycle looks like?

You don't need a license? Don't they need to be street legal and I would need a motorcycle license right?

Ok. So it's a scooter for 14 year olds.
Get a ninja 250 for $1000 and be happy

Cheapest Ruckus I see locally is $1850. The others are between $2k and $3k.

For that price, you can get a similar age Kawasaki Ninja 250, a Buell Blast, older Suzuki GS bikes, maybe even a Suzuki SV650.

And you want to take a course and get licensed. Trust me.

I feel bad for people who get stuck in traffic running 45 mph maxing out their scooter while traffic races around them at 60+ mph.
