New Member Here, Coming from the DSM World

Hi guys,
I don't actually own a BMW yet. I'm looking into a few. I figured I could post up the ad here and get some advice and suggestions from you guys.

I've come from a long love hate relationship in the DSM community.
I currently own a 99 GSX. Built 2.4. 45 psi on E85 making 785awhp. It's an awesome car, just not a good daily!

Hence that is why I've been looking into Bimmers. Looking for a great, fun, and reliable daily driver.

Here is the main BMW I'm looking into:

I'm thinking about offering him $4000 tomorrow. Try using the R title to my advantage?

Thanks in advance guys!!

My dad has a '99 gst that he's working on now. Welcome to the e46 world. That bmw seems to be in good condition. 4k is about the highest i'd go. Definitely bring up the salvage title. With 160k you may be looking at replacing a few parts. Those rims are M6 replica's btw. I have the same ones on my car.

You say you want a reliable car.
You need to know the things that fail and can leave you stranded and replace them.
The entire cooling system, fuel filter, and fuel pump and good things to replace right off the bat. A lot of things can go bad but these things will leave you stranded if they fail.
There are various other things that will probably need replacing on a high mileage car like that but other things like bushings and such can be replaced as they fail. No need to replace them before hand because they will not leave you on the side of the road if they fail
