ever taken zinc before going to bed?

supposedly results in very vivid dreams. I had a bottle laying around, so I'm gonna take one tonight to see what happens.

I have really ****ed up dreams anyway (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...ighlight=lucid), so we'll see what happens.

story was cool bro

Hmm I've never heard that. Let us know if it works, I'd love to try it if it does. I know from experience that Tamiflu will give you some wild dreams. My doctor warned me and she was right.

Zinc is supposed to do other things to you as well... look it up.

Never heard of an effect on dreams, sounds interesting. It supposedly can lessen the effect of viruses like a cold though. Also, boosts immune system, metabolism, eyesight, energy, and more I'm sure. Don't over do it though, too much zinc blocks absorption of other vitamins, and basically has the reverse effect. I tried it once for little white specks in my fingernails a long time ago, which is supposedly a sign of deficiency.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Bimmer App

Yes, as well as other results. Look up ZMA, or get zinc/magnesium pills at Walmart for like $6

stevenluczynski 10-08-2012 10:56 PM

will try tonight

Do not take zinc if you have HIV/AIDS. Zinc might shorten your life.

I'm pretty sure if someone has AIDS, the effect zinc has on their lifespan is a secondary concern.

Better watch out for those Zinc effects!

farmdog 10-08-2012 11:32 PM

I think most people that have HIV/AIDS are more concerned with the fact they have HIV/AIDS.

I take 6 Calcium, Zinc and Mag pills daily. No weird dreams but haven't been sick in almost a year

ZMA (Zinc Magnesium Aspartate) can certainly intensify your dreams. I used to take 3 capsules nightly post-workout to accelerate recovery. It worked really well, and it was definitely a strange side-effect, but yes- your dreams can certainly become intensified, be more vivid, some may say you... "go deeper" ...

But seriously, if you're having sleep problems like staying asleep, (not) feeling well rested... or if you are pushing yourself hard through regular exercise- ZMA can make a big difference.

ZMA won't make you sleepy, but it will rather raise the quality of your sleep. If your circadian rhythm is allllll messed up, you can stack ZMA with melatonin and then you will not only get to sleep (relatively) quick but also stay asleep easier.

Good shiz,

I sometime take ZMA and Melatonin. While Melatonin is kind of a forced sleep type of pill, ZMA wont make u sleepy but you do feel well rested after.

roastbeef 10-09-2012 03:29 AM

i take zma and consistently experience deeper sleep and more dreams.
