Madison, WI Fanatics

I was talking with Whammy other other weekend at a car meet, and we were saying how we need to get a meet together before it gets too cold. Who in the area would like to be part of this and what days in the next three weeks would work for everyone?

Whammy 10-17-2012 06:09 PM

During the week, Tuesday's are bad for me.

00A 10-20-2012 09:41 PM

I'm good with Thursday. Weekends are a lot harder for me right now.

jneumann 10-25-2012 10:59 AM

I can probably do Thursday night. I'd prefer Friday night or a weekend though.

99_323i_Steve 10-25-2012 11:44 AM

I work Mon-Fri but am usually free after 7pm during the week, weekends off.

Whammy 10-26-2012 05:40 PM

We are organizing a road rally in Wisconsin along one of the best roads and best kept secrets of the area - Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive. We did this route in September it was bad ass.

See: http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/kmscenicdrive.html for printable map of route.

Location:
We are meeting at the LaGrange General Store parking lot (highway 12 and county highway H, see map: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=LaGra...UTF-8&hl=en ).

It ends at Elkhart Lake (Road America) and we are planning on doing the entire route. I'm planning on bringing motorola talk-abouts, if anyone else has two way radios please bring them so we can keep the pack organized (I'll also have my Valentine1 in session).

Email me at aniles04@gmail.com if you guys have any questions. I hope you all can join us. Anthony

P.S. I wont be checking this forum but I hope to see you all there!

Hope to see you guys there.

I'm in for anywhere around the Madison area. I am getting my clutch replaced this week . I have indoor soccer games Friday nights so that is a no go for me.

I feel your pain. My wallet is still screaming after paying for both the clutch and flywheel.........

Where do you play indoor?

How much did it run you. They quoted me around 1,700.00. I play @ Breakaway and Keva pretty much year round.

For clutch and flywheel, that is about what I paid (stock parts about $1,000). Mine was slightly higher because the rear main seal was replaced along with some exhaust gaskets. Who is doing the work? Kelly-Moss Motorsports did mine.

I play at Breakaway during winter. Got a game this Friday actually.

Ok thats what I figure my parts to be around. I'm getting it done at the dealer. Kelly moss does not communicate well with me so I don't give them my business.
I play there Friday as well. 7pm field 1

I would have to agree with you Kelly-Moss has had difficulties at times with communication. Lately for me it has been good, however I've been overly communicative with them. I know it is just two people in the street shop. I wonder if they have considered hiring a third mechanic to keep cars flowing in and out.

Zimbrick on the other hand I dislike. They rip you off on parts and it can be a pain at times to work with the SAs. At the same time my clutch/flywheel was on its last days, my fuel pump went out. Zimbrick wanted 15% above MSRP just for the pump. I got the pump shipped for 75% of MSRP and installed it myself. I will not go there unless I absolutely have to.

We should try and meet up. I'm on field #2 for my 6pm game. Our team is black.

Whammy 11-08-2012 07:23 PM

So, back on topic? What's the word people?

00A 11-09-2012 09:00 PM

I have been busy with life and forgot to keep up on this thread. I'm still game for a meet up. We're loosing time though.

TrickTizzle 11-10-2012 02:51 AM

come to the road rally tomorrow.

00A 11-13-2012 10:46 AM

I couldn't make it Sunday, I had stuff going on for Veterans Day and some meetings.
