Is this polisher any good?
I had a Porter Cable 7424 but it got stolen from my driveway :ben: ,

Therefore I'm looking to new buffer to polish my headlight lens, apply wax and light polish. Will this budget polisher will do the job? I know most of the buffer in lower price range doesn't have to speed to do so, but this have speed up to 6400rpm. So is this a  or :thumbdwn: ?

oh..here is the buffer

Sorry about your loss. I run a 7424 as well, however my buddy has the exact one in the link. It bogs down with minimal pressure. However for light stuff it can get the job the done. Honestly get another 7424 I think you will be happier in the long run.

why not use a regular drill for the headlamps? I used one on my Dad's E39 (3m headlight renewal kit) and it worked wonders.

I would go with the Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbital

Had this and paired it with a CCW's orange pad and megs 205...didn't take out any of my beater's swirl marks. I returned it the next day and ordered the 7424xp. Another thing to note is, it's loud and and it jolts your whole body if you apply just a tad bit of pressure on it. I'm not sure if i got defective unit, I just returned it and got a the sure thing.
