Bought a 2001 BMW 330i on Monday. First Bimmer, and so far the process has been an absolute nightmare....but not b/c of the car. Turned out I got scammed and there was actually a little over 60,000 miles on the car than what is on the odometer. I have been around and around with lawyers, the other party, etc. Somewhat of a compromise was made, but in the long run I definitely am getting shafted. Now I am just crossing all fingers that the car treats me good!

Sorry to hear that how much does the odometer say? And how did you find out?

The odometer read 142,xxx. When running the VIN to get a key program, there was a service record from 12/2011 that showed 201,xxx. From there a little investigating was done and there definitely were some discrepancies.

Dang that's a big difference

Yeah! probably would have made my decision just a little different!

You bought it from some private seller?

yeah, originally found it on Craigslist. Car is running great though, and fun to drive!
