VF v3 install question: Coupler for charger to intake tube?
Hi, I can't seem to find any silicon coupler tube to connect the intake tube to the charger. When the kit arrived, the intake tube has a heavy duty metal clamp already. In place on the intake tube where it should meet the charger, but I just thought there was supposed to be a coupler. Connecting the plastic directly to the charger doesn't seem right. Can anyone confirm this for me? Thank you!

Here are photos of the intake tube and the clamp where it meets the charger.

Attached is the stock photo of the V4 intake pipe from VFE (which uses a silicon coupler), but it looks a little different than yours. It's made out of aluminum - is yours plastic?

In response to your concern on Bimmerforums. You're dealing with the non-boosted side of the charger. Many companies have used plastic tubes directly clamped to the charger inlet. Clamp it, go on your way.
