MUST READ BEFORE DOING MODS

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=914109

GET IT INSPECTED FIRST AND REPLACE WHAT'S NEEDED.

Basic mods(cheap mods):

Matte Black grill
Euro Tray
Ipod/Aux Input(D.I.C.E.) or OEM Aux
Vinyl Wrap interior trim and window trim.

Enjoy your 330ci.

My ideas are don't mod until you've done some decent portion of the following list:

Cooling overhaul
ccv
vcg
ofhg
cas/cabs
inspect subframe
fuel filter
air filter
cabin air filter
oil
all fluids--trans, diff, brake, PS, of course oil with LL-01
get codes read
tires
clean icv/tb and replace rubber, including vac lines (see jfoj's sig)

So, those are my ideas...just for starters. Almost every car here has done all or most of the things I've listed, and if you read General forum, you'll see that there are many other items you could/should be doing before changing the way your car looks.

Im kind of new here so could you explain all the abbreviations you used ( thank you) and is there anything i can do myself easy

dmax 11-11-2012 10:24 AM

You'll get used to all the abbreviations:
idle control valve
crankcase ventilation
throttle body
oil filter housing gasket
valve cover gasket

control arms/control arm bushings

You can do most of the work on your car yourself, and it gets easier with time. Spend your time studying the diys and doing the work, or you won't have money left for mods...and honestly, after you get into doing the work, you'll realize it's fun, saves you money, and that you don't have time for mods because you have so much maintenance to do.

Get an xl50 flashlight from HD for 100 lumens of inspecting power, read fanatics until you want to puke, keep out of OT and the showroom until you get your car back to factory...then go to town all you want! :lmao:

I'm pretty new to all of this DIY stuff, so how much can I expect to pay for all of the parts listed above?
